Headteacher - Mrs Hodgkinson
I am so proud to be the headteacher at Catherington Infant School. The children are fabulous and always try their best, they are definitely my favourite part of the job! When I am not at work, I love to read and spend time with my family and my lovely cocker spaniels Dude and Freddie!
Senior leader, SENDCo and Year R class teacher - Mrs Burden
I joined Catherington in April 2018 and really enjoy teaching children in their first year of school. I love thinking up exciting learning experiences for the children I teach.
At home I am kept very busy with my own 2 children. We enjoy spending time together riding bikes and visiting lots of places. I also enjoy going swimming when I can.
Senior Admin Officer - Mrs Anderson
I have worked at Catherington for three years. I really enjoy my role and I love the fact that you never know what the day may bring! The children are great and a pleasure to be around. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and enjoy walking our two sprocker dogs, Lola and Lottie.
I am delighted to be a class teacher at Catherinton Infant School. Outside of school, I love nothing more than to spend time with my wonderful family, Nigel (my husband), Harry (my son), Felicity (my daughter) and our crazy Cockerpoo dog Reggie who has an endless amount of energy!
🐑 My favourite time of year has to be spring-time on a Cornish farm; it is my family’s favourite holiday every year. Herding a field of lambs is good practise for teaching a PE lesson in Year R! 🐑
Since joining Catherington, I have loved every minute of it!
At home, I have a new addition to the family: a beagle puppy called Bailey! I am planning my wedding to Will for next August when I will become Mrs Reeve. Count down begins!
I have definitely started at Catherington during a very strange time but I have already begun to notice what a special school it is. I love to think outside the box and make learning fun and purposeful. When i'm not at school I like going on days out with my family geocaching, exploring new places and playing games. I love going to the theatre and belong to two amateur dramatic societies.
I've been a part of Catherington School for many years, my children having attended the school during that time. I love the challenge of a job where no two days are every the same and the joy of seeing children grow into confident young people. Outside of school, I love spending time with my twin grandsons.
I really enjoy being a TA at Catherington and especially like working in Dolphins class. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, going for long walks and visiting different places on holiday.
Although I only started working at Catherington this September, it already feels like a second home to me! My days spent in Seahorses Class are always fun, and working with such kind and enthusiastic children is a real privilege.
When I'm not at school you'll either find me somewhere outside getting muddy with my two children or curled up indoors with a good book, a blanket and a cup of tea!
I am a new addition to the team at catherington working in Dolphin Class. I am already enjoying being part of the the children's first introduction to school, seeing them make new friends and begin their learning journey. Outside of Dolphin Class, I love baking and going to the theatre.
Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants
Mrs Barker ( Mrs Barker is also the school cleaner and the school gardener)
I have worked at Catherington for 10 years as a lunch time supervisor, cleaner and gardener. I have seen lots of little people come and go. I love working with children because every day is different.
I really enjoy working at Catherington Church of England Infant School. It's a lovely friendly environment in which the children thrive. The children make me smile on a daily basis. Away from work I enjoy walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside and spending time with my two cats.
I have worked at Catherington for over six years as a lunch time supervisor. I find great pleasure in being able to be part of the children thriving in a positive, safe environment where they can grow with knowledge and confidence from Year R to Year 2. When I am not at work my greatest joy is being with my family and being outside.
Before and after school club
Proving a fun, relaxed environment for the children to enjoy after a long day at school makes me smile everyday. Walking my dog and looking after my family keeps me very busy too!
