  • Neal Layton visit

    Thu 05 Mar 2020

As part of World Book Day, we were very lucky to receive a visit from the children’s author Neal Layton. He spent the whole afternoon sharing his stories with us. Thank you Neal we have had an enjoyable afternoon.

A huge thank you to Peter and Margaret Bone for organising it all for us.

  • Our Christian Values in action

    Thu 05 Mar 2020

In celebration worship, we noticed that our Star of the Week badges were packaged in small, individually wrapped plastic bags. It was suggested that we could write a letter to the company to explain why these bags are not good for our environment. Yesterday, Elliott decided he wanted to do something about these plastic bags and so he wrote this letter independently.

We are all so incredibly proud of you Elliott for not only writing an amazing letter, all on your own, but for caring enough about the environment to take action.

  • Planting trees

    Thu 05 Mar 2020
As part of the Woodland Trust plant a tree campaign, Mrs Giddings has kindly organised for every child in our school to plant a tree at Catherington Lith with the support of Horndean Parish Council.  The trees arrived this week and Year R took charge of planting them in temporary pots until we are given the go ahead from the council to plant them.
