We had a jam-packed week this week!

In maths we worked on ordering numbers. We ordered towers and placed them on number lines. We also used our knowledge of '5 and a bit' to put the correct number of cubes into cups in Discovery Time.

In phonics we practised reading words containing digraphs and even wrote our first dictation sentence!
We learnt about deciduous and evergreen trees and then went outside to see if we could find both types of tree on our field.

Drawing Club really made us laugh this week - we watched and wrote about Popeye the Sailor Man! In our Big Write we wrote descriptive phrases about characters from The Gruffalo.

In PE we began our new unit on ball skills. We used our hands and feet to move different balls across the playground and then had a go at passing our ball to a friend.

In Discovery Time we solved puzzles to find woodland animals and then wrote about the creature we found, made and sold pancakes in a Pancake Cafe, built dens, made car ramps, wrote with chalk, designed and made things with junk modelling materials and played with numbers (a lot!).

We also started our duckling countdown... our egg delivery will be on Tuesday and we can't wait!
