Week 6
This week we learned all about the different seasons. We thought about Autumn and what changes we can expect to see as we move from Autumn to Winter. We made salt dough leaves, which we'll paint next week. Mixing the dough was really fun!
In Forest School we listened to stories, made leaf prints, built dens and made leaf necklaces.
In PE we balanced bean bags, passed them around different parts of our bodies and played a target practise game. We're getting very good at throwing them accurately.
In PSHE we read a letter from a boy called Sam. He was very sad that his friend was moving away, so we wrote a letter back to him with some suggestions to help him feel better. We learned how to use our grapheme mats and were able to identify some initial and end sounds for the letter.
In phonics we learned the last graphemes for this half term and even had a go at spelling some CVC words.
In maths we made collections of 2, 3 and 4. We found out that all numbers are made of ones and practised making numbers with ones.
