Week 3
We've had another wonderful week together in Oak Class
In phonics we learned the graphemes i, n, m and d and even started to blend sounds together to read words like sit, nap, pan and man.
In maths we learned all about subitising (seeing how many without counting) and practised subitising numbers to 3. We read a story called The Button Box and sorted buttons in different ways. We had lots of fun collecting acorns, sticks and conkers and finding out which objects we had more of.
We learned our first Trickbox trick (Mirror, Mirror), and said nice things to ourselves, as well as meeting Harold the Giraffe and celebrating the things that make us different from each other.
In Outdoor Explorers we found out what Harvest means and harvested our own delicious apples from the tree on the field.
