Week 7
In our final week together before the Christmas break we learnt all about the Christian Christmas story. We thought about babies and talked about why so many people enjoy celebrating the arrival of a new baby.
We welcomed a new baby into our home corner (named Richard by the children!) and thought about what gifts we could give him. We looked after him carefully all week. To end, we listened to the Nativity story and reflected on why the birth of Jesus is such a special thing for Christians to celebrate.
On Thursday we received a special gift from the PTA... some cute rubber ducks! These represent real duck eggs that we'll be looking after just before Easter. Thank you to the PTA for such an exciting surprise!
On Wednesday we enjoyed looking at each other's home learning. Everyone put so much effort into their projects and I'm very impressed with how much we all now know about nocturnal animals.
Throughout the rest of the week we did lots of Christmas crafting, made Christmas cards, sang songs together, read a lot of stories and enjoyed being together as a class.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
