Week 6
What an exciting week we've had!
We had a wonderful time together in Forest School on Tuesday, despite the wet and windy weather. We learned some fire safety rules and then watched Mrs Burden light a fire. We made ribbon sticks and bird feeders and enjoyed exploring in the mud kitchen.
We're getting really good at working independently during Guided Reading sessions. This week we wrote labels for parcels, decorated snowmen with play dough and shared books with our friends as well as reading to a grown-up in small groups.
In Discovery Time we wrote Christmas lists, made snowflake decorations for Blendworth Church and recreated the nativity story with our friends.
In maths we used ten frames to explore the concept of 'one more'.
At the end of the week we ate a scrummy Christmas dinner, met Father Christmas and filled a goody bag with lots of amazing things during our Christmas activity afternoon. What a fantastic week!
