This week we have had a lot of fun exploring light and dark. We used torches, mirrors and different coloured acetates in our special science den and investigated reflection, shadows and colour mixing.

In PSHE we talked about different homes and told each other what our house is like and who lives inside it.

In Forest School we made bird feeders with apples and sunflower seeds and helped the chickens by collecting woodchip to dry out the floor of their coop.

We've continued to learn about nocturnal and diurnal animals. Some of us worked together to make a habitat for different nocturnal animals and wrote labels for them during Discovery Time.

In maths we learned about parts and wholes. We split the numbers 3 and 4 into different parts and represented them in a part/whole model. Then we made stampolines of 4 to see how many ways we could represent the number using paint and blocks.
