Learning together for tomorrow’s world

Week beginning 15th June

The theme for this weeks learning is all about Carnivals!

We are going to look at the Notting Hill Carnival and try to make some posters telling people all about it. Maybe you could make one at home too.

We will also be making our own colourful masks.

Remember to check out which new song we are learning in the Singing section.

In phonics this week we will continue looking at phase 4. We will be playing lots of phonics games on the website Phonics play which is free to use at the moment.

We will be try to match captions and draw pictures, by reading them and play games with our friends. We will also be writing sentences to match pictures.

In Maths we are learning to subtract numbers to 10 and 20. We will do this in lots of practical ways, learning that subtraction means taking some away. We will use the tens frame to help us.

Outdoor Explorers

This weeks Outdoor Explorers is all about baby birds leaving their nests. Have a look for some pictures online. Then we are going to build nests from natural things we can find on the ground. When our nests are built we are going to play a game looking for worms (hidden pieces of wool)  for the baby birds around the field.

Hope the Rainbow Fairy

We will be looking at this story at school this week. There are some lovely colouring pages to go with it too. If you want to find out more visit the website below.
