We had a great day making chocolate nests, Easter cards and going on an Easter egg hunt.
This week we have been learning the proper names of babies animals. We now know that baby owls are called owlets and baby foxes are called cubs.
We had great fun planting some potatoes, beans and our own sunflowers. Hopefully they will start growing soon.
We are doing lots of writing every day. Here is our labelling of the characters in the Gruffalo. We have been learning to use our phonics to write down words and sentences.
In maths we have been continuing to learn about numbers which make 10. We are getting very good at this now.
We have been making some careful paintings of daffodils.
This week we have been learning about animals that live in the woods. We all chose our favourites and found out what their homes are called.
In Outdoor explorers we were looking for buds on the trees. We learnt how the leaves will come out soon as spring is getting closer.
In maths we have been comparing amounts and saying which has more or less.
We are also working on forming letters correctly. It’s hard work but we are doing really well.
Spring is coming and the sun was shining a lot this week. We were really excited that our daffodils started to come out. We really enjoyed being outside this week.
In p.e we have started learning a dance. We will show you the whole dance when it’s finished but here is a sneak peek!
In maths this week we were learning to compare numbers to 10 and say which was more and which was less.

In outdoor explorers we looked on the field for evergreen and deciduous trees.
