Spring 2 2021

This half term we are thinking about what it means to forgive.  We are listening to the story of Zacchaeus, the tax collector and learning how he turned his life around after Jesus forgave him for cheating and stealing from his community. We are exploring the Parable of the Prodigal Son and thinking about how the father in the story shows love and forgiveness in the same way God does.

We have looked at what the word forgiveness means through this poem:

Forgiveness

Forgiving the hurt

Offering a new beginning

Restoring a friendship

Given and received

Identifying responsibility

Valuing the truth

Ending an argument

Not holdng a grudge

Encouraging honesty

Saying sorry

Starting again

Which line represents forgiveness for you?
