Spring 2 2020

WEEK THREE
What an exciting week we have had. The Guinea pigs came to stay in our classroom and we had to look after them. We gave them food and water each day, kept them clean and gave them a cuddle. We will miss them next week when they visit a different classroom.

Thank you to our mummy’s who came to play with us during discovery time.

This week in handwriting sessions we have been practicing the sound ‘f’. It is really hard to write but we have all tried really hard.

WEEK TWO

Wow what a super busy week we have had. We started on Monday with p.e outside where we were using balls and tennis rackets.
We had great fun with some big spades in discovery time, digging big holes and playing in the mud.
This week at snack time, we had to pay for our snacks. The children were really good at counting out the right number of coins and then paying for their snack before they ate it. It has helped us practice our maths skills.
We are very happy Dolphins, especially when we are outside!

WELCOME BACK DOLPHINS

This halfterm we are thinking about travelling, how can we get to different places and what does the world look like.

We started this week by learning about the very courageous Amelia Earhart.

We really love the new layout of our classroom and is making us want to write more and enjoy some painting during discovery time.
On Thursday we got new tables and chairs which is even more exciting!
In maths this week we started learning about subtraction. We tried lots of practical tasks where we had to find a number less than another.
Our new school Guinea pigs came to visit us too. We were so excited to meet them and were busy thinking of names for them.

Thank you to mummy’s and daddy’s who came to see how we learn to write in Dolphins class, we hope you had fun.

Have a look at the PowerPoint below if you weren’t able to a make it.
