Head Teacher- Mrs Burden

This week Year 1 took a trip around Catherington Village as part of their Geography topic looking at the human and physical features in the village. The children really enjoyed their walk and finding out about the different areas in Catherington.

This week all parents should have received a letter to explain the trips with have planned as part of the curriculum for each class this year. This is to make you aware of the costs and help you plan.

The PTA also had their AGM on Tuesday evening. It was so lovely to see some new faces joining the PTA. The committee has changed slightly this year. We have had to say a sad goodbye to Rachel Rackett our treasurer, Heather Hulbert our chair and Lisa Yates. We thank them all for their hard work and commitment to the PTA over the last year.

The committee this year will be:

Vice Chair- Kate Powell (Year 1 parent)

Secretaries – Charlotte Pickett and Sam Bickely-Vaile (Y1 parents)

Treasuer- Heather Hulbert and  Charlotte Greig

If you weren't able to attend the meeting on Tuesday but would like to join the PTA or help with any events then please contact one of the committee or myself.

The next meeting is Thursday 2nd October at 6pm. Everyone is welcome.

Below are some pictures showing the fun the children have had this week.

Happy weekend everyone.

Can you help?

Year 1 Hazel class desperately need some more resources for Adventure time. The specifically need animals, cars and a garage and baby dolls with accessories. If you have anything like this which your child no longer plays with the children in Year 1 would love to play with them.
