Head Teacher- Mrs Burden

Christingle Service

On Wednesday afternoon the whole school went to the church for a special Christingle service.

The children spent the morning learning about the importance of Christingle and making their own Christingle. They then took them to the church where they learnt about the significance of the different parts of the Christingle.

Following tradition, our Year 2 children lit their Christingles while we all sang 'Sing Christingle'. It was a really lovely afternoon.

A huge thank you to Reverened Richard for leading the service and to the PTA for providing each child with an orange.

Book of the Month

What’s the best thing about February? Pancake Day, of course!

Not only is this month’s special book all about delicious pancakes, but it features one of our favourite characters: The Big, Bad Wolf!

Poor Mr Wolf is having trouble reading his pancake recipe, writing his shopping list and counting out his money… and nobody in town will help him! Will he ever be able to make any pancakes? And if he does, who will help him eat them?

This is a fun tale that includes lots of familiar characters for you and your children to spot along the way.

Star of the week

Well done to these children. We are all very proud of you.

Children in Reception to Year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals (FSM) can enjoy a variety of fun activities and healthy meals for free during the half-term break, courtesy of Hampshire County Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.

Funded by the Department for Education, the programme enables local authorities to offer healthy food and enriching holiday activities to children who would normally receive benefit-related FSM during term time. A limited number of discretionary places are also available for other vulnerable families.

We are now inviting eligible families to book their free place at our half term holiday clubs. Information about available schemes and booking instructions can be found on our Family Information and Services Hub (FISH), using the link below:
