Well done Hazel class on your fabulous class assembly. You all spoke so confidently and showed so much courage in front of a big audience. We are all looking forward to seeing Oak class perform their Nativity next week.

Las Posadas

Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from Reverend Joy. She came to talk to us about the festival of Las Posadas.

She has left her very precious models of Mary, Joseph and the donkey for us to look after until next Friday. The models will spend time in each classroom during next week. When they leave us they will be travelling around Horndean until December the 24th when you can see them at the crib service. See details below.

The Christmas Post box is arriving soon!

The Christmas postbox will be in school from Monday 1st December. Children can post cards to their friends and teachers in our Christmas post box. The cards will then be delivered to classes every afternoon. If your child would like to post some cards please make sure they write their friends full name and class on the front so we can make sure it reaches the right person.

The last day for posting will be Wednesday 17th December

PTA NEWS

Shopping day donations - We are now collecting shopping day donations for the children to buy at £1 a gift (Max 5 people). These can be simple things like unwanted unused items like toiletries, candles, games.
Jar tombola - If you do not have a spare jar at home, we have a stock of Jars available from the office. We kindly ask that you fill the jar for our tombola. This can be anything you have spare at home, in the past we have had, jars of sweets, Lego, stickers, party bag stuffers etc.

School Values Award

Well done to Emily who received a values certificate today. If you feel your child has demonstrated one of our three school values, Love, Courage or Respect this half term, at home or when out and about please email the office and let us know all about it and I will celebrate it at school.

Your child can be awarded as many Values certificates as you like throughout the year.

Values certificates are presented to children every Friday during celebration worship.
