Conservation Club Project

Like us, Ramathan and his children are interested in environmental issues, so they run a Conservation Club. Their latest project has been to build a bin out of some of their plastic bottles as a daily reminder about plastic waste and the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling. We've decided to start saving our school milk bottles to see if we can make something similar... watch this space!

 

Ramathan and the children have also started to use the same materials to make 'tree shelters'. Ramathan has told us that it's very difficult to plant trees due to the sometimes harsh weather and wild animals uprooting and damaging the new trees, so he has begun to make tree shelters with spare plastic bottles in order to protect any new saplings they plant.
